Yes, love is in the air! It’s the time of year when the stores and restaurants are flooded with all things and shades of red and pink. Valentine’s Day is a day dreaded by some and loved by others. If you ask me, I’m in the middle. I don’t like how commercial and not to mention expensive it has become however, I like that it’s a fun time to decorate and get more kisses.
We don’t have children (yet) and while other parents have the wonderful opportunity to take photos of their cute and obedient-to-the-photographer sons and daughters, I have my husband to play with.
Love is patient, love is kind
asked told my husband that I wanted to take photos of the L-O-V-E banner that I printed HERE, he willingly obliged just like a gentleman would to his lady. I requested him to be patient for at 10 minutes and he agreed. So I brought the tripod and camera remote (from my sis-in-la2) and set-it up by the red brick wall outside the church.
Well, it turned out to be a very windy afternoon. It was so windy that we had to wait for the right time which was quite challenging. The 10 minutes that I promised him turned to 20 and thankfully, he knew that “love is patient, love is kind” (1 Corinthians 13:4)
As Valentine’s day approaches, don’t stress out on spending so much to buy your special one a dozen or two of roses or making a special dinner reservation. I believe that everyday should be a special day to tell our lovedone that they are loved, whether they are our spouse, parents, brothers or sisters, etc.
So to you, my friend, may your heart be filled with love today and always!
