Today is Palm Sunday and it marks the first day of the Holy Week. It is a time when Christians celebrate Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. He came riding a donkey and was welcomed by the people waving palm branches.
The people took palm branches and went out to greet Him, shouting, “Hosanna!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Blessed is the king of Israel!” John 12:13
There’s a lot of symbolism in this Biblical account. To me, it means there is HOPE in Jesus – that amidst all the troubles that we face, He has promised joy in the morning.
This timelapse video of my Oxalis Triangularis was taken in the morning. If plants can wake up and lift their leaves in praise for the blessing of a new day, shouldn’t we do the same?
Psalm 113:3 (ESV) “From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised.”
May the grace and love of Jesus Christ surround you as we celebrate His life, death and resurrection.
